Event: Mini Job Fair

A Mini Job Fair was conducted at the ISC on Thursday, July 17, 2014 to help Limited English Proficient secondary migrants and long-term residents connect with gainful employment. Mr. John Dobinski, Human Resources Manager of the Yellow Roadway Company (YRC) made a very informative presentation about his shipping, distributing and warehousing company. According to Mr. Dobinski, due to YRC recent establishment of a new distribution center in Carlisle, his Company was looking for good candidates to fill in a variety of jobs. Thanks to the ISC’s staff and consultants acting as interpreters, Mr. Dobinski was able to conduct direct job interviews with 26 Limited English Proficient Arabic, Russian, Somali and Vietnamese applicants.
